You can catch her playing regularly around town at Century Ballroom, Salsa con Todo and wherever else salsa, bachata and kizomba events are taking place.
DJM is a life-long music nerd who fell in love with dance. She began playing as a DJ in order to share her favorite music with other dancers, and soon discovered she’d found a new passion. She plays kizomba, salsa and bachata events, as well as private parties.
Kizomba events: While kizomba, semba and zouk were her first passions as a dancer/listener, DJM also loves getting creative with her urban kiz sets. She plays the gamut of genres that you encounter at kizomba events – gizomba, semba, zouk, ghetto zouk, konpa, douceur, afrobeats, tarraxo and more…
Salsa/Bachata events: Her first love as a dancer an DJ was salsa. For salsa events she leans towards playing mainly salsa dura, timba, west African salsa and modern salsa bands with the occasional bachata, kizomba, cumbia or merengue for some extra flavor. For bachata events, she tends to play a mix of traditional bachata, plus some moderna and sensual, along with a few interesting covers, some funky remixes and once in a while a salsa or kizomba thrown into the mix.
