Marietta Villalobos is a world-renowned professional dance instructor known for unlocking people’s waistlines and cultivating capable dancers. Marietta is native to Costa Rica and immigrated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1992. Currently based in Seattle, Washington. Kizomba, Tarraxinha, and Twerk are her main focus. Her Kizomba journey began in 2007 with close friends from Angola that taught her many dances and aspects of their culture. Later, her teaching journey began in 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. She’s been trained and certified by Mestre Petchu and Vanessa Ginga Pura and has also worked with many world-renowned instructors. Marietta is currently teaching Kizomba and Tarraxinha at Salsa Con Todo and The Union Cultural Center.
